HISTORY

Seasoned restauranteurs Bill and Jaye Miller opened both the Tivoli Café and the Oxford House Restaurant in 1992.  Along with the success of Tivoli, Oxford House patronage quickly outgrew the original building, so a new home for the restaurant was sought.  The Millers relocated the Oxford House to 129 Baltimore St. (known as Town Centre) in Cumberland, MD.

A two year renovation effort was launched and has culminated in a number of intimate settings such as the Courtyard, the Sanctuary, the Abbey, and the very private Valeria’s nook.  The restaurant also houses a small, well-stocked pub featuring tapas bar where casual diners can gather for appetizers and spirits.

Recently, a new dining area known as Annapolis Hall was added to the Oxford House.  Accommodating up to 110 people, this room is ideal for banquets and buffets, small weddings, rehearsal dinners, meetings, cocktail parties, Christmas parties, etc…

The Millers’ forte’ has always been providing their customers with the most innovative fare possible, with many fresh foods available year-round.  Various original dishes are added to the exceptional staple menu daily.

Service at the Oxford House is up-close and personal where patrons feel at-home and comfortable. If you seek a fine dining experience with unique food, friendly people, and relaxing surroundings, look no further than the Oxford House Restaurant.
